The exam was renamed FCICM in 2026. July 2026 to June 2027 is the final full year of the current OSCE/SOE format; from July 2027 a new exam launches and the legacy OSCE/SOE run only for candidates who already hold a partial pass.

When to start practising
A spoken exam tests whether you can retrieve what you know, structure it and say it clearly under pressure. That improves with repetition, not reading, so most candidates need six to eight weeks of regular spoken practice on top of their knowledge revision. For the 5–8 October 2026 sitting, that means starting by 10 August 2026. Short daily sessions work better than occasional long ones.
