Why do prices differ between exams?
Your price is set by the exam you are preparing for. A medical-school finals candidate pays our lowest rate; a senior registrar sitting an FRCS exit exam pays more — but still a fraction of the real exam fee and a single revision-course day. You only ever pay your band.
Will this actually help me pass?
It targets the part most people under-prepare: talking to the patient. You can run the same kinds of stations again and again until histories, explanations and difficult conversations feel automatic — so on the day you're rehearsing, not improvising. You practise the exact thing you're marked on, as many times as it takes.
How realistic are the AI patients, really?
They hold a genuine back-and-forth. Each one has their own history, ideas, concerns and expectations, reacts to how you handle them, and won't hand you the diagnosis — if you don't ask, you don't find out, just like the real thing. Interrupt them, go off-script, push on something: they respond like a person, not a chatbot reading a script.
Do I actually speak out loud?
Yes. You talk, in real time, and the patient talks back — out loud, like the exam itself. It's spoken practice, not typing or multiple choice, because the skill you're being tested on is the conversation. If you're not talking, you're not preparing.
Which exams and interviews do you cover?
Close to 100 UK medical and nursing assessments — including MRCP PACES, PLAB 2, MRCGP SCA, MRCEM OSCE, medical school finals and nursing OSCEs — plus specialty and consultant interviews. Each is mapped to that exam's real structure and stations, so you practise the right format, not a generic one.
How am I marked, and what feedback do I get?
You're scored against the same domains real examiners use, and you get specific, station-by-station feedback on what worked and where you dropped marks — not just a number. The point is to show you the gap while there's still time to close it.
Is it up to date with the current exam format?
Yes. We track format changes — like the move to the MRCGP SCA and the current PACES structure — and update the stations to match, so you're never rehearsing a version of the exam that no longer exists.
Can I practise on my own, whenever I want?
That's the whole idea. No booking a study partner, no waiting for a course — open it at 6am or midnight and run as many stations as you like. Most people can't find enough people to role-play with; here you never run out.
I'm an IMG and English isn't my first language. Will it help?
Especially then. You get unlimited, judgement-free reps at English-language consultations — phrasing, signposting, picking up cues — until they feel natural. You can fumble a station as many times as you need with nobody watching.
Will I run out of cases?
No. There's a deep, growing bank of scenarios for each exam and stations vary each time, so you're not memorising a fixed script — you can practise right up to the day without seeing the same case twice.
Is my data and voice secure?
Yes. Your voice is processed to run the consultation and handled in line with UK GDPR. We don't sell your data, and you can delete your account and everything in it whenever you want. MedMock is run by VirtualPatients Ltd, a UK-registered company.
Do you offer university or institutional licences?
Yes. We work with medical schools and training bodies on bulk access for a whole cohort. Get in touch and we'll sort licensing for your group.
