What is the Clinical Radiology ST1 interview, and how do you practise for it?
Clinical Radiology ST1 national recruitment interview (NHS England; Nuclear Medicine and Clinical Radiology share one selection process): two 15-minute panel stations. Station A covers your portfolio, your understanding of the specialty and your skills; Station B is a clinical scenario prioritisation question, then coping with pressure and managing uncertainty, then team involvement. You are the requesting clinician, not a radiologist, and you are not tested on image interpretation. MedMock lets you practise it out loud against an AI interview panel, with examiner-style feedback on any station you finish.

About Clinical Radiology (ST1) recruitment
Clinical Radiology ST1, 2025 recruitment round (Round 1). NHS England competition ratios
- Clinical Radiology recruitment is a centralised process run alongside the Royal College of Clinical Radiologists.
- For 2027 entry, the final score used for ranking and offers is 30% portfolio and 70% interview.
- The interview has 2 stations of up to 15 minutes each, held online on the Qpercom Recruit system.
- In Station A, one panel member reviews and scores the applicant's portfolio evidence for up to 10 minutes beforehand. The first 2 questions in the station are then about the portfolio.

Clinical Radiology ST1 interview practice, on demand
MedMock gives you an AI interviewer who challenges your answers, available 24/7. Pick a station, have a spoken conversation, and ask for examiner-style feedback when you finish, scored against what genuinely matters in the Clinical Radiology ST1.
How it works
Choose a station
Choose the kind of question or scenario you want to rehearse — ethics, motivation, a role-play, and more.
Have the conversation
Speak naturally, out loud. The AI interviewer listens and asks the demanding follow-ups, just as a real interviewer would.
Get instant feedback
The moment you finish, you get specific, examiner-style feedback and a score — what you did well, what cost you marks, and precisely what to fix before the next attempt.
Practise every scenario
MedMock covers the stations you will face in the Clinical Radiology ST1 interview. Rehearse each one until it feels routine.
Station A — Portfolio, Specialty and Skills
Station A: two questions on your portfolio, a question on your understanding of the specialty, and a skills question, with follow-up questions.
Station B — Clinical Scenario, Pressure and Teamwork
Station B: a clinical scenario prioritisation question in which you act on a report as the requesting clinician — escalation, prioritisation and safe handover — then questions on coping with pressure and managing uncertainty, and on team involvement.
