Histopathology ST1 interview practice, on demand

MedMock gives you an AI interviewer who challenges your answers, available 24/7. Pick a station, have a spoken conversation, and ask for examiner-style feedback when you finish, scored against what genuinely matters in the Histopathology ST1.

How it works

1

Choose a station

Choose the kind of question or scenario you want to rehearse — ethics, motivation, a role-play, and more.

2

Have the conversation

Speak naturally, out loud. The AI interviewer listens and asks the demanding follow-ups, just as a real interviewer would.

3

Get instant feedback

The moment you finish, you get specific, examiner-style feedback and a score — what you did well, what cost you marks, and precisely what to fix before the next attempt.

Practise every scenario

MedMock covers the stations you will face in the Histopathology ST1 interview. Rehearse each one until it feels routine.

1

Station 1 — Image, Career and Case Study

An image to interpret — here a real H&E micrograph — then histopathology as a career and a case study.

2

Station 2 — Teamworking, Clinical Knowledge and Error

Teamworking and the multidisciplinary team, clinical knowledge scenarios, and clinical error and audit.

Sample Histopathology (ST1) interview questions

Two questions from the topics that come up most in MedMock's Histopathology (ST1) bank.

Station 1 — Image, Career and Case Study

“The department has an unexpected backlog of specimens following staff shortages, and not all cases can be reported within the usual timescale. How might cases be prioritised in this situation, and what is your role as a trainee?”

Station 2 — Teamworking, Clinical Knowledge and Error

“A complaint was raised by a patient's family after a delay in communicating an abnormal result in which you had been involved. Describe how this was investigated, your own role in providing an account, and what you learned from the process.”

Example scenarios

A sample of the Histopathology ST1 scenarios you can practise, each as a spoken conversation.

Station 1 — Image, Career and Case Study

“Why histopathology rather than another specialty, and what do you understand about the training?”

Station 2 — Teamworking, Clinical Knowledge and Error

“Walk me through your strongest completed audit — the standard, the denominator, the change you implemented, and what the re-audit showed.”
